Mallory Hagan – From Waitress to Miss America - Right Here in Las Vegas!

The long road begins. Miss America is much more than a title. It is a position requiring a lot of PR. Sure, the $50K in scholarship money helps but what a schedule! Did you know that the average Miss America travels 20,000 miles a month for the entire year of her reign? That’s about $.21 cents a mile.

Mallory’s first “official” act will be to attend the Taste of the NFL fundraiser at the Super Bowl in New Orleans in February. She is also the national goodwill ambassador for the highly respected Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. In the end Mallory hopes to get her degree in marketing and to become the global marketing director for a cosmetic company.

But I have a feeling that’s no big deal for Mallory. After all, she has been a waitress, a real estate agent, a salon receptionist. According to Mallory herself she “did whatever it took”. I believe it. She is quite an impressive lady in my humble opinion. We should all be proud of our new Miss America.
